COM Day on the Hill is an AACOM specific event that encompasses Deans from each COM/SOM representing osteopathic medical students’ concerns specific to our education on Capitol Hill. Each Spring COM/SOM Deans partner with AACOM Governmental Relations to best tackle medical education concerns while working with representatives to support positive legislation for all osteopathic medical students. Please make your SGA representatives and Deans aware of issues you would like advocated on during COM Day on the Hill.
DO Day on Capitol Hill is the preeminent opportunity for DOs and students to come to Washington, D.C. and lobby members of Congress and their staff face-to-face. Prior to the event, participants will receive briefing materials on the key issues to be discussed. Once in Washington, osteopathic advocates will participate in a morning legislative briefing, attend scheduled meetings with members of Congress and their staff, and report the results in a debriefing room.
The next DO Day on the Hill is March 5, 2015.
Register for DO Day on the Hill here! Registration ends January 23, 2015.
